The Manipal University Student Branch was chartered in 2010 and now has 15 students. The branch has successfully organized a number of events and activities which are highlighted below:
SHARE with ASHRAE - Virtual Poster Competition
Conducted in July 2020 with 7 universities from UAE and 8 universities from India participating.

Technical Activities
The student branch received a student research grant amount of 3650 USD for Design and Fabrication of rotary type humidifier in arid regions and 1100 USD for Centrifugal Humidifier projects.
Students also took part in research competition held in Curtin University Dubai and won first place. The branch also hosted a Distinguished Lecture on ‘The Most Referred ASHRAE Standards followed in the U.A.E.’ and the lecturer was Mr. Hassan Ali Younes (ASHRAE Falcon Chapter President).

ENERGIOMEX was organized on 8th of April 2021, which is an inter-university project competition on HVAC&R which was conducted by ASHRAE MAHE Dubai under ASHRAE FALCON CHAPTER. It was an immense platform for students to exhibit their ideas and creativities. The aim of this event was to provide students more insight into the HVAC&R field and find various innovations to improve it. For the project competition, a total of 35 teams initially registered for the event, out of which 19 teams got shortlisted and participated in the event. Teams took part from around the world, the countries include UAE, India, Bangladesh.
Social Media
Social Media activities included FACT FRIDAY: New & innovative ideas as shared as facts through the student branch Instagram page and via LinkedIn. These shared facts’ pivot around the theme of HVAC&R and Energy. Newsletters were also posted as stories on the Instagram page, on the 1st and the 3rd Monday of each month to give viewers information about new innovations in the HVAC&R field.
To summarize, the Manipal University Student Branch is one of the most vibrant branches in UAE region and always willing to learn and share knowledge with other student branches and student members.
